The
Barnabas Food Project ● Surely the simplest and most
fundamental human need is food. ● Our food
co-operative was the first in this half of Greater Manchester. ● Through our food bank, we
give free food parcels to selected clients ● Twice a
week, our Community Café provides nutritious and affordable food. |

Community Café
We
have temporarily suspended our community café. We will
reopen as soon as possible. We open every Monday and Wednesday,
10:00 am — 2:00 pm. The food is always fresh, delicious, nutritious and
affordable. Why not join us for good,
affordable food, and a chance to meet new people. Our principal partner is Fareshare.

Food
co-operative
We give a large bag of food each week for a very modest membership fee
of £2.50 a week per person (that’s 35p a day). It offers more choice than the
current food bank, and much more food per person. We are open each Monday morning and each Sunday after worship. Our principal partner is Fareshare.

Food bank
Subject to availability, we offer support to selected clients. We
provide one modest bag of food per person per week. Our principal partners are Fareshare
and Oldham
Food bank. We also receive donations of food from the
Church congregation, local cafés and supermarkets, neighbours … and anyone
willing to help support this vital work.

Community
events
Everyone loves a good party. To help engender a sense of community, we often host community
get-togethers. Recently, we have hosted several barbecues, a Guy Fawkes Party
and a Shrove Tuesday pancake party. All our events are accompanied by good,
free food. |
